Only a fool would think this is over. Negotiations between Iran and USA are ongoing and I'm sure there will be more threats made during the next few weeks. The second warship is still on its way from the Caribbean and the last strikes on Iran occurred after negotiations that were reported to be progressing well.
This article is idiotic. If you invested at the top of the market in 1929 and remained invested during the 86% drop, it would have taken 13 years of growth at 16% per year to get back the money you invested in 1929. That also assumes that you had an index and were not invested in companies that went bust. Don't ride the market down!
The valuation of $Microsoft(MSFT)$ and $Oracle(ORCL)$ is only attractive if you think that AI will turn good. If AI turns bad then they need to write off their LLM investments and are stuck with contacts for data centers and electricity that will be above what they can charge customers.
The impact of rising interest rates on US debt is an underappreciated problem. Interest is currently around 13% of government spending and will rise as old treasuries low rates roll off and are replaced by new treasuries at current rates. Note that the market price does not change the interest paid by the government, as this is fixed at issue.

If technological displacement arrives in sudden, concentrated waves, Dimon warned that the consequences could be destabilising. “You’ll have civil unrest.” - X user Amanda Goodall Trump admitted the reason he doesn’t want home prices to fall so people can afford them, is that current homeowners and mortgage lenders would lose money. But if homes are so overpriced that people can't afford to buy them, they’re not worth what people think. A crash is coming. - Peter Schiff One of the most overvalued stock markets by any metric - X user Lukas Ekwueme The Federal Reserve is injecting $55.3B into the financial sy
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ I'm suspicious about why they seem to be doing deals with almost every tech company out there while Huang sells his shares every day. Are they going to miss their revenue target for next quarter (noting that $54bn is a big jump over last quarter of $46bn)?
This will probably be yet another rug pull. Bessant says they have a preliminary deal, gold goes down, all Trumps friends buy gold, then Trump throws a tantrum.
