Physical gold storage is a problem for a lot of people. I have a few gold coins I just ended up selling as paying for a secure storage facility is expensive. I'll invest with ETF. 

If I do not have any gold exposure, I'll buy one tenth of my intended holdings just as a start to accumulate. Then add when any correction happens. As it was meant to be a hedge, the focus is not for short term gain.
