Weekly Five Key Areas: Earnings, Macro, Singapore Stocks, Options, Futures

U.S. stocks rose during the holiday-shortened week, with the S&P 500 and Dow hitting record highs amid AI optimism and favorable economic data. The small-cap Russell 2000 underperformed, up only 0.19%, while precious metals like gold and silver continued to rally.

Economic data was mixed: Q3 GDP growth accelerated to 4.3%, driven by consumer spending, but October durable goods orders fell 2.2%. Consumer confidence declined for the fifth straight month in December, reflecting worries about jobs and business conditions. Initial jobless claims dropped, but continuing claims rose.

Treasury yields edged lower as bonds advanced, with the 10-year yield hovering around 4.1%–4.2%. Investment-grade corporate bonds outperformed Treasuries, while high yield bonds benefited from strong GDP data.

The week ahead: December 29-January 2

    My stock in focus today is Xpeng $XPeng Inc.(XPEV)$ $XPENG-W(09868)$ , following news of its official entry into Qatar. The company hosted a brand launch event in Doha, unveiling the G9 and G6 SUVs and confirming the upcoming local launch of the P7+ sedan, positioning Qatar as a gateway for broader Gulf expansion. Management emphasized Qatar’s role in showcasing Xpeng’s smart EV technology to high-end international consumers.

    Xpeng also announced a strategic partnership with Axess Limited in Mauritius, marking its entry into the Eastern African market. This move expands its sales and service network across the Middle East and Africa while supporting an asset-light overseas strategy.

    Overall, these developments highlight Xpeng’s accelerating push to become a globally diversified EV brand, with international markets playing a growing role in its long-term growth story.

    如果一定要写一句在日志的第一行,那会是:
    “这是一个看似乐观、却仍需要敬畏风险的市场。”
    在这样的环境里,活得久,往往比猜得准更重要。

    FOMC 會議紀要、房屋成交、PMI 和就業數據會不斷校正市場敘事。但在年末流動性偏薄、假期效應明顯的環境下,我更關注的是倉位管理而非方向豪賭。對我來說,這一週的交易計劃很簡單:
    不追高情緒最熱的資產,保留對 AI 主線的核心敞口;
    通過期權或倉位分層應對波動;
    在貴金屬和利率敏感資產中維持對衝思維。

    贵金属的持续走强,尤其是黄金和白银,值得多看一眼。在股市创新高的同时,避险资产并未被抛弃,这本身就是一个信号:市场对未来并非毫无防备。它可能不是马上要发生什么,而是对 2025 年政策、增长与地缘风险的一种提前保险。

    Macro data also shows this split. Q3 GDP was pushed to 4.3% by consumer spending, giving the market confidence that a "soft landing is still on track"; But the decline in durable goods orders and the fifth consecutive month of lower consumer confidence remind us that the pressure on the real economy has not disappeared. The same goes for employment data: The decline in initial jobless claims sounds like good news, but the continued rise in claims means it will be harder for some people to get back to work once they lose their jobs. This is not a recession signal, but a footnote to a marginal slowdown in growth.

    假期缩短的一周里,美股表面看起来风平浪静,实际上暗流不少。标普500和道指再创新高,AI 情绪依旧是主线,但如果只看指数,很容易忽略结构性的变化。罗素2000几乎原地踏步,小盘股的犹豫,说明资金并没有全面“放胆”,而是继续集中在确定性更高的方向。这不是全面风险偏好的回归,更像是选择性冒险。
