NDX Rallies on US-Iran peace deal; Nasdaq 7x Long Gains 12%

US and Iran announced overnight that they had reached a peace agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with the key waterway expected to resume operations on Friday (19 June).

The announcement lifted market sentiment, with $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ futures rising more than 1.7% as of 10am Singapore time on Monday (15 June).

Amplifying the movement, the Nasdaq 7x Long DLC gained about 12%, while the Nasdaq 7x Short DLC declined by a similar magnitude.

Meanwhile, futures for the broader $S&P 500(.SPX)$ index advanced about 1%, driving the S&P 7x Long DLC up 7% and the S&P 7x Short DLC down by around the same extent.

US Indices and Single Stock DLCs listed on SGX offer leveraged and inverse exposure to US markets during Asian trading hours, enabling investors to respond swiftly to market-moving developments that occur outside of US market trading hours.

Investors who view the peace agreement as a potential catalyst for a continued market rally may consider Long DLCs to capitalise on further upside momentum.

Conversely, those who anticipate a pullback following a strong market reaction may consider Short DLCs to benefit from potential declines.
