$Amazon.com(AMZN)$  I would be cautious about calling either a durable base or the cycle top based on one day's events.

Amazon's move above US$3 trillion reflects improving confidence that AI investment is producing durable cloud demand. Multi-year AI infrastructure contracts improve revenue visibility, which justifies higher valuations if execution continues. Microsoft's and Google's gains reinforce that this is an industry-wide repricing rather than an Amazon-only story.

Bezos' planned sale, however, should be interpreted carefully. Founders frequently sell under pre-arranged plans for diversification, liquidity, philanthropy, or tax planning. A multi-billion-dollar sale is not, by itself, evidence that management believes the stock has peaked.

The more important questions over the next few quarters are:

Can AWS continue converting AI demand into accelerating revenue growth?

Do AI services expand operating margins rather than simply driving higher capital expenditure?

Does free cash flow keep improving despite heavy infrastructure spending?

If those answers remain positive, US$3 trillion could become a new valuation floor rather than a peak. If AI demand slows while spending stays elevated, investors may reassess multiples and the recent rally could prove to have run ahead of fundamentals. The sustainability of earnings growth, not the founder's share sale, is likely to determine which narrative prevails.

Just went through Q1 again — capex only works if AWS margin expands too. If AI revenue shows up but FCF stalls, 3T floor talk gets shaky
