【Livestream Clip 3|Kenny Loh & Edward Pye: Singapore GDP at 6%? Most Investors Missed This】

【LIVESTREAM RECAP|Celebrating Singapore's Independence: Navigating the 5,000 STI Milestone】

Hi Tigers! In this session we celebrated a real milestone — Singapore's Straits Times Index crossing 5,000. We traced STI's near-60-year path and its recent breakout, unpacked the capital flows sparked by MAS's market-revitalization program, dug into the explosive growth in ETF assets, walked through institutional forecasts for 6,000 and beyond, and closed on the next chapter of the "Singapore Story" — from safe haven to a magnet for global capital. Clear, layered, and full of substance. 🇸🇬

【ABOUT THE GUEST】

Our speakers are Kenny Loh & Edward Pye. Kenny Loh is a Wealth Advisory Director, founder of Rate Savvy, and a prominent SGX Academy trainer with deep expertise in Singapore REITs and the local market. Edward Pye is Intermediary Distribution Director at amova Asset Management (formerly Nikko Asset Management, rebranded last September). One brings the local REIT and SGX-ecosystem lens; the other brings the asset-management and "Singapore Story" institutional view — two scarce perspectives on one stage.

【HIGHLIGHTS】

1. Life after STI 5,000: a full map of institutional forecasts — from 6,000 to a bold 10,000 by 2040.

2. Where the money really is: ETF AUM at S$21B, retail at 42% — who's buying and what they're buying.

3. The new chapter of the "Singapore Story": why capital doesn't just arrive here — it stays, grows, and compounds.

【THIS CLIP】

Singapore GDP at 6%? Most investors missed the logic behind it. Edward frames the "Singapore Story" as one clear thread: in an increasingly unpredictable world, a diversified engine of finance, trade, tourism and manufacturing — plus a disciplined government and highly credible central bank — turns Singapore from a safe haven into a magnet for capital that arrives by design, not by accident. Why it's worth watching: he points to a quietly reinventing "new Singapore," where the next blue chips are forming in healthcare, utilities, technology, data infrastructure and logistics.

We genuinely recommend watching the full replay — many viewers fix on the index level and miss the deeper story: capital structure, dividend quality, and Singapore reinventing itself. Kenny and Edward fill in all those missing pieces in the full session.
