Bank of America, Blackstone, Citi and Morgan Stanley announced a $63 billion deal to deploy AI computing capacity using Broadcom's technology for Anthropic, with deliveries expected to start in 2027.
The transaction will be structured through a newly created special-purpose vehicle, funded by the four financial partners to buy AI XPUs and networking solutions from Broadcom, which will then be leased to Anthropic. Bank of America, Citi and Morgan Stanley will arrange the senior secured financing, while Blackstone will exclusively provide the committed junior secured tranche. Broadcom will offer residual-value support equivalent to the senior financing tranche.
Blackstone COO Jon Gray said surging AI demand is creating meaningful opportunities to finance large-scale computing infrastructure. Broadcom CEO Hock Tan added that the transaction shows the strength of its technology and the availability of capital to support the AI industry's rapid growth.
