Why AMC’s Record Quarter Improves the Business Without Removing the Balance-Sheet Risk

$AMC Entertainment(AMC)$’s second-quarter report was more than a temporary earnings beat. It provided genuine evidence that cinema economics can recover when the film slate, attendance and premium formats work together. It did not, however, resolve the company’s structural financial risks. AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. Reports Second Quarter 2026 Results, Delivering the Highest Quarterly Revenue and Adjusted EBITDA in Its 106-Year History Second Quarter 2026 Summary Results Compared to the Second Quarter On July 20, $AMC Entertainment(AMC)$ reported second-quarter revenue of $1.597 billion, up 14.2% from $1.398 billion one year earlier. Why Exxon’s Oil Rally Is Both an Earnings Tailwind and a Geopolitical Trap

$Exxon Mobil(XOM)$ is benefiting from higher oil prices, but the current situation demonstrates why an energy producer’s earnings do not always move neatly with the spot price of crude. On July 20, Brent crude briefly traded above $90 per barrel before retreating as investors assessed the possibility of mediation in the US–Iran conflict. Disruption around the Strait of Hormuz has increased the risk premium in crude and refined products. The price move occurred on July 20; reports were published the same day. The Financial Times’ oil-market report describes both the surge and subsequent pullback. Higher oil prices normally strengthen Exxon’s upstream earnings because each barrel becomes more valuable while many production costs remain comparatively

$ARM Holdings(ARM)$ The recent semiconductor correction has been uncomfortable, but for me it has also created an opportunity. Instead of trying to predict the exact bottom, I've chosen to dollar-cost average (DCA) into ARM during this pullback. The recent selloff has been driven more by concerns over AI capital spending, higher interest rates, and broad deleveraging than by any major deterioration in ARM's long-term business. When quality companies are sold alongside the rest of the sector, I see that as a chance to gradually build a position. What continues to attract me to ARM is its unique business model and dominant ecosystem. Unlike traditional chip manufacturers, ARM licenses its architecture and collects royalties from billions of devi

Google Earnings Countdown: Is $180 Billion of AI Spending Starting to Pay Off?

Alphabet will report its second-quarter results on Wednesday after the U.S. market closes. This earnings release matters far beyond $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ itself. TSMC and ASML have already shown that demand for advanced chips and semiconductor equipment remains strong. Google now has to answer the next question in the AI value chain: Can all that spending on chips, servers and data centers turn into cloud revenue, advertising growth and free cash flow? Wall Street currently expects roughly $116.8 billion in Q2 revenue, including about $22.2 billion from Google Cloud. Options markets are pricing in an earnings move of around 5.3%. The first test: Can Google Cloud keep growing above 60%? Google Cloud was Alphabet’s strongest business in the first quart
Google Earnings Countdown: Is $180 Billion of AI Spending Starting to Pay Off?
TOPShyon: For me, $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ Google Cloud is the key metric. TSMC and ASML have confirmed strong AI infrastructure demand, but Alphabet now needs to prove that its heavy AI investment is translating into sustainable Cloud revenue and healthy margins. I'm also watching AI Search monetization. It's not enough to increase user engagement—Google must maintain advertising revenue while keeping AI inference costs under control. That will determine whether AI strengthens its core business. Overall, I think Alphabet is becoming a leading end-to-end AI platform. If it delivers strong Cloud growth, solid AI monetization and confidence in free cash flow despite high capex, the long-term AI story becomes much more convincing. I’ll also be listening closely to management’s guidance on 2027 AI spending and TPU commercialization. Those updates could shape sentiment not only for Alphabet, but for the entire AI supply chain. @TigerStars @Tiger_comments @TigerClub

The Cash Machine: Is QYLD A Buy For Your Portfolio?

🌟🌟🌟 In a market where tech stocks are swinging wildly and investors are biting their nails over upcoming earnings, my income portfolio seeks a different kind of weapon.  It seeks a cash generating engine that can turn market volatility into immediate, tangible wealth.  That engine is $Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF(QYLD)$  While growth investors chase the next massive AI spike, income focused investors look at QYLD with a single goal in mind: extracting maximum passive income from the world's most dominant tech index.  But in today's economic climate, is it truly a Buy? How the Cash Machine Works QYLD does not invest like a traditional ETF.  It uses a clear mechanical options strategy t

US Market down, thanks Semicon & AI ?

For the week ending Fri, 17 Jul 2026, there were 3 main catalysts: AI & Chip Sell-Off: Semiconductor and mega-cap tech stocks suffered a severe correction. Investors rotated out of AI heavyweights due to concerns over whether (a) long-term fundamentals and (b) end-demand will justify sky-high valuations. This was compounded by the debut of a new, competitive AI model from Chinese startup Moonshot. Mixed Corporate Earnings: Q2 2026 earnings kicked off, bringing both positive news and stark disappointments. While traditional financials and select industrials beat expectations, the tech & streaming spaces weighed on major indexes as players like $Netflix(NFLX)$ and $Alphabet(GOOG)$ reported slowing o
