The new catalyst (US-Cananda tariff war) dampened US market sentiments in addition to the Middle East tension, leading to 2 of 3 composite indexes falling between -0.28% and -0.76%. NVDA was not spared either at it continue to slip for the 7th consecutive session, falling by -2.91% ending the day at $208.48. Will it be a case of cathcing falling knives on the lead up to Wednesday evening Q2 2027 earnings release ?  Such a dilemna...

NVDA Q2 earnings - Sustainable or Hype ?

Did you know that $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ has been on a losing streak for the past 6 sessions. Its stock price has been pushed down to around $214 per share, marking its longest consecutive dip in 4 years ? (see below) However, Finbold’s leveraged ChatGPT's AI forecasting model forecast NVDA rebounding after the six-session slide, with a weighted 30‑day target near $236 and a base stock price range of $235–$245 by late September - provided quarterly earnings and guidance meet elevated expectations. Finbold has leveraged on ChatGPT's AI forecasting model to project the stock’s short-term trajectory for week beginning 24 Aug 2026. The model maintains a moderately bullish overall forecast, deriving a 30-day weighted average price target of approx. $236 per sh

Replying to @Investing Leon:Hi, tks for reading my post and sharing your views. In addition to what you've mentioned, I think the US-Canada trade tension is the key catalyst for now, as both economies are too integrated to be messed with. Any abrupt tariff change/s will reverberates thru the 2 economies.//@Investing Leon:The market had rallied too sharply before, and expectations are now being adjusted downward.

US. stocks closed mixed or dipped on Monday as investors reacted to collapsing US–Canada trade negotiations and rising geopolitical and economic uncertainties. Dow bucked the trend and rose marginally. Is this what is expected of this week's US market performance? What do you think?

Red Flags on US Market & Reports ?

For week ending Fri, 21 Aug 2026, US stock market rally bent but didn't break - a disaster week, if I could say so. All the key indexes fell below their 21-day moving averages on Thu, 20 Aug 2026 with the Nasdaq also closing below its 04 Aug 2026’s follow-through day low — a highly bearish signal that the market rally will ultimately fail. The indexes rose modestly on Friday, with all except Nasdaq regaining their 21-day lines. For the week: (see above) DJIA : -0.75% (-386.10 to 53,277.01). The Dow is posting back-to-back weekly losses. S&P 500 : -1.49% (-116.31 to 7,674.37). Nasdaq : -2.26% (-604.20 to 26,180.46). In the wake of the latest market drawdown, Verdence Capital Advisors, founder & CEO, Leo Kelly thinks US equities could see even more losses, a slide toward correction t

On Friday when US market closed on a high of between +0.43% (S&P 500) and +0.98% (DJIA), $Micron Technology(MU)$ fell instead. By the time 4pm came around, MU fell by - 0.77%, ending the week at $966.77 per share, still above it's technical indicator of Simple Moving Averages of 20-day, 50-day and 200-day. Is it too early to count your chicks before they are hatch ?  US market seems to be doing just fine this Friday, exactly 3 hours into weekend trade. Every index is trending higher than 30mins after US market opened this morning. The "recovery-in-motion" boosted my gains.  Stay that way please ! Yay !

It's been 30mins since US's Friday market has opened for trading.  And the 'good' news is stocks rose on Friday as investors tried to find their footing following a steep sell-off driven by rising Treasury yields. (see attached). Before we celebrate thought, US market remains on pace for a weekly decline due to earlier falls in the week. Still think US market is out of the woods ?  Let's keep our minds opened about this...

With 2 mins to go before Friday trading begins, will MU end the week on a high ?  Looking at Yahoo Finance pre-market pricing, it is a +1.55% gain.  Will this persist till 4pm when US market ends the week ?

US market 'maybe' crash & investor Plan B ?

. Of late, the US stock market is showing valuation patterns that have historically preceded major downturns. Just to be clear, it does not mean that a crash is imminent or certain. Warnings. Looking across key economic indicators and corporate valuation metrics, the US equity market exhibits several clear, historical warning signs of structural vulnerability: (1) Metrics valuations. a) The Shiller CAPE Ratio: Measuring price versus 10-year inflation-adjusted earnings, this ratio has consistently stayed above 40 since May 2026. Outside of recent trading, the late-1990s dot-com bubble was the only other period in US history where this metric remained above 40 for an extended time. b) The Buffett Indicator: Total US stock-market value divided by US GDP, currently stands at a record roughly 2
