$Applied Optoelectronics(AAOI)$ Got dragged down hard with the whole photonics group, but when you strip away the short-term noise, this looks more like a positioning flush than a broken story. You had fears about co-packaged optics delays, the Fed turning more hawkish, memory names rolling over, and high-beta names all getting de-risked at the same time – everything just hit at once. At around $130, you're basically paying about 2 times the company's mid-2027 revenue run-rate target (~$5.6B annualized). On the surface that sounds rich, but that's only true if you assume growth slows down meaningfully from here. Right now the numbers still say otherwise – a triple-digit growth profile, FY guidance around $1.1B,
$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bear 3x Shares(SOXS)$ It's crazy how every dip SOXL has made over the past three months gets bought up almost instantly within a week. No chop, no rug pull. It's like they're letting everyone make money. At this point, who wouldn't consider putting their cash and savings into SOXL?
$Applied Optoelectronics(AAOI)$ Trading near ~2x mid-2027 ARR puts the setup in a very different light than the day-to-day tape suggests. Short-term volatility from macro noise—KOSPI spillover, positioning de-risking, and general selloff pressure—is distorting the signal. But the underlying narrative hasn't changed: capacity ramp, demand visibility, and forward run-rate expansion into 2027 still dominate the longer-term setup. This is where you separate price action noise from business trajectory. Volatility explains the swings. Fundamentals define the range.
$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bear 3x Shares(SOXS)$ I don't doubt your investing skills. Even institutional investors seemed to need time to fully digest the Fed's message, and the market reaction took a couple of days to play out. I was actually amused as the market kept moving higher, because I viewed every pullback in SOXS and SQQQ as a buying opportunity and added on each dip. I continue to believe this represents a significant opportunity with substantial upside. The move ahead could be much larger than most expect, and the stock price could double in less than a day.
$Applied Optoelectronics(AAOI)$ Even with today's sell-off, we're still up $7 from Friday's close. Volatility will likely stick around for a while. COHR, AMD, LITE, NOK, and pretty much everything is down today, but my CRWV and HUT are up.
