I think trump’s liberation day and the related taco trades really defined 2025. The stock market responded in fear and dropped rapidly, bringing back to memories of Covid and the market crash that was still fresh in many minds. Of course, his taco also brought the stock market to the later upswings and dips again when the so-called trade talks failed and tariffs were introduced or heightened. I think the taco trades really taught me the most this year. It taught me to really depend on fundamentals yet also allowed me to capitalise on the market volatility to trade on top of just investing. It taught me to be really convicted about fundamentals and to block out all noise and fear to continue to add to my positions. Of course, when the fear subsided and the stock prices rebounded, I took pro

🌟🌟🌟"Easy Trades" are the ultimate stock market myth.  They only look obvious in the rear view mirror once the charts are already printed and the millions have been made.  In 2025 it might feel like common sense that Gold would skyrocket or NVIDIA would hit USD 5 Trillion.  But back in April, most of us were sweating over tariffs & recession fears. That is why I have invested in $Vanguard Total World Stock ETF(VT)$ as it gives me exposure to over 8,000 stocks globally from the US, China, Europe and Asia. When NVIDIA surges, I already own it because it is VT's top holding. When Tesla hits new highs? I already have a piece of the action. Even China's Big Tech stocks.  They are all part of VT holdings. Looking back at 2025, I missed the precious metals rally and AMD’s catch-up move. Gold, silver, and AMD all benefited from strong macro and AI-driven trends, but I stayed on the sidelines and underestimated how quickly these opportunities would reprice. On the bright side, I’m glad I caught the Tesla rebound. The $200 level held firmly, offering an attractive risk–reward setup, and the recovery reinforced the value of stepping in when sentiment is most negative. It also reminded me how important patience is when a long-term thesis remains intact despite short-term noise. Overall, the year reminded me that the best opportunities often feel uncomfortable in real time. Going forward, I’ll pay more attention to overlooked themes and secondary beneficiaries, not just the obvious market leaders

Best advice is to do your research, manage risk through your allocation, and stock to your plan unless something is fundamentally wrong. hone your skills not think about regret

My 2025 Investment Wins: Turning Daily Put Premiums into Steady Wealth

As 2025 comes to a close, I'm looking back with a huge smile—this year has been a game-changer for my portfolio!  My secret sauce? Selling cash-secured puts every single day on quality, undervalued stocks. Those juicy premiums roll in consistently, and I immediately funnel them into rock-solid, high-liquidity assets like the LionGlobal USD Enhanced Liquidity Fund and Fullerton USD Money Market Fund. It's the perfect combo: generating active income from options while quietly compounding in ultra-safe, USD-denominated funds. Steady wins, low stress, and serious growth.  Grateful for the discipline that made this possible—what's the one strategy that crushed it for you in 2025? Drop it below! 👇

🌟2025 was defined by "The Great Diversification". This is a massive shift where the world realises that leaning solely on US Big Tech was no longer enough. While 2024 was about AI Hype, 2025 was the year economic reality & geopolitical shocks forced investors to look elsewhere. The Defining Event of 2025 was April 2025 - Trump's Liberation Day & the tariff shock which revealed a sweeping regime of tariffs, up to 145% on Chinese goods.  This sent the global markets into a literal meltdown. However 2025 is also the year that the S&P500 and Gold hit their all time highs. The most valuable lesson I learnt this year was to expect the unexpected. Fortunately diversification saved the day.  Diversification isn't about lack of conviction.  It is about humility.  It

My New Way of Selecting Stocks in Year 2026

I have many stocks in my watchlist. Too many. So many, in fact, that watching them feels like trying to follow a hundred toddlers on a sugar high—prices ticking up and down every second, each one screaming, “Look at me! No, look at me!” Inevitably, when I finally buy a stock, the price immediately goes down. And when I sell? That same stock suddenly remembers it’s supposed to go up. Every. Single. Time. By the end of 2025, I finally accepted an uncomfortable truth: the stock market has a strange emotional connection to me, and that connection is mostly revenge. Despite this, I like to think I’ve been investing responsibly. My usual method is very sensible. I look at the current price relative to the 52-week range and historical range. I check the company’s financial strength. I look at div

2025 Annual Review: What Trade Taught Me the Most This Year

If you asked me which trade taught me the most this year, I’d say Wendy’s (WEN). Yes, Wendy’s. It started simply enough: I bought shares at $10.98 and thought, “Seems reasonable. The company is fine. Burgers aren’t going anywhere. What could possibly go wrong?” Wendy's (WEN) A few months later, Wendy’s was down to around $8.29. And my reaction? Picture me staring at the screen like it had personally betrayed me, whispering, “Really? You’re doing this to me?” Once I calmed down, I reminded myself—very rationally, like an adult—that the company wasn’t broken. People were still lining up for Frostys, Baconators etc. Fundamentally, nothing had changed except the number on my screen and my blood pressure. So what did I do? Absolutely nothing. I sat there, clutching my coffee like it was emotion
