Stock Market Correction May Be Over, but It’s Too Early to Call a Rally

The low-side bid we had kept sitting under the Nasdaq for two weeks was never filled. With the index stabilising and rebounding off 27,000, and with several other headline developments turning, the correction that has run for more than a month may now be close to its end. What we do expect from here is dispersion: the divide between what stays strong and what has already topped out should become considerably more visible. Set against the S&P and the Dow, the Nasdaq was clearly the US index that gave back the most in this round of correction. Gains and losses share the same source, so it is no surprise that AI and technology names — the hardest-hit group — were what dragged the index lower. In practice, though, the pullback did not even reach the 61.8% retracement. That is an indirect r

Will NFP Shift Rate Hike Expectations? Is a New Wave of Market Volatility Coming?

The first week of August is formally here. In terms of how the calendar falls, the opening week of a month tends to have an outsized effect on volatility in US trading, chiefly because the US non-farm payrolls report — the release markets watch most closely — lands early in the month. In a market as rate-sensitive as the current one, payrolls feed straight into rate expectations and therefore into a wider trading range. On top of that, the weekend's US–Iran flare-up has left the progress of the “so-called” 60-day negotiation window genuinely hard to read, and that is another source of instability in the market right now. A market like this, however, is actually easier to profit from — provided you approach it with a relatively short-term mindset. $Inve

AWS AI Growth, Enterprise Demand, and Amazon Options Strategies Explained

$Amazon.com(AMZN)$’s blowout Q2 2026 earnings report provided concrete proof that its massive artificial intelligence investments are moving from capital expenditure into accelerated revenue. However, translating that momentum into a trading strategy depends heavily on whether you currently own the stock or are looking to deploy capital synthetically. 1. Is AI Spending Paying Off for AWS? Yes, the direct revenue monetization is accelerating faster than expected. 37% YoY Growth: AWS reported $42.2 billion in net sales, marking its fastest growth rate in 18 quarters. $25B AI & Silicon Run Rates: AWS's AI business and custom chip business (Trainium/Inferentia) each independently crossed a $25 billion annualized revenue run rate, both expanding at
AWS AI Growth, Enterprise Demand, and Amazon Options Strategies Explained
TOPInvesting Leon: AWS’s accelerating growth and expanding backlog make a strong case that Amazon’s AI investment cycle is beginning to translate into real demand. The main debate is whether revenue growth can outpace the pressure from capex, depreciation, and capacity constraints. For long-term investors, AWS remains the key value driver. For options traders, I agree that the strategy should depend on portfolio structure: covered calls suit existing shareholders seeking income, while bull put spreads offer a more capital-efficient, defined-risk way to express a moderately bullish view. Overall, the AI growth story looks convincing, but execution, free cash flow recovery, and AWS margins will determine whether AMZN can sustain a stronger rally.

🌟🌟🌟 $Intel(INTC)$ recent pullback to USD 91 mark is a great opportunity for patient investors to get on the bus.  Why?  This correction took place despite Intel reporting its fastest quarterly growth revenue in 15 years.  CEO Lip Bu Tan has done a great job in turning around Intel.  Besides the US government is also backing Intel too with a 10% equity stake.  This makes them the largest shareholder of Intel. Intel is definitely a great stock to buy and hold long term.🌈🌈🌈💰💰💰

$ARM Holdings(ARM)$ Semiconductor stocks have gone through another sharp pullback, but I see this as an opportunity rather than a reason to step aside. That's why I continue to build my position in Arm Holdings (ARM). Market corrections often create the best entry points for high-quality companies, especially those with strong structural growth drivers. While short-term sentiment can fluctuate with interest rates and AI spending concerns, Arm's long-term story remains firmly intact. What gives me confidence is Arm's unique business model. Unlike traditional chipmakers, Arm doesn't manufacture semiconductors—it designs the architecture that powers billions of devices worldwide and earns royalties as customers ship more chips. What I'm Buying In August 2026

This is the latest allocation of $500 into a personal portfolio of stocks with 10x potential over the next decade. I’ll allocate from the “Asymmetric Universe” of stocks. Today, that universe has 25 stocks that I’ve covered in spotlight articles, and the universe will grow in time. Not all stocks covered will receive an investment, and allocations may be made to the same stock multiple times. Here are the rules of allocation. Invest $500 in total new capital each month. If the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ or $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ is 20% below its all-time high, this allocation will increase to $1,000 monthly. If the S&P 500 or Nasdaq Composite is down 30%, I’ll add $1,500, and so on. 🚀 Palantir Surges After “Otherworldly” Earnings — Can 93% Growth Finally Justify the Valuation?

$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$  Palantir has just delivered one of the strongest earnings reports I have seen "from a major software company! Wow. The company did not merely beat expectations. It nearly doubled revenue, accelerated both sides of its business, generated enormous free cash flow and raised its full year outlook by  roughly half a billion dollars. Shares jumped approximately 12–14% after hours, but one major question remains: Has Palantir finally grown into its premium valuation, or is the market once again getting carried away? 📊 The headline numbers Palantir reported: - Revenue: $1.94 billion, up 93% year over year - Adjusted earnings: $0.41 per share -  U.S. commercial revenue: $764 million, up 149% - U.S. g

Chart: The Big CRE Reset

The US Commercial Real Estate (CRE) market has just been through its third major correction in 40 years. Indeed, the 2020’s downturn has been similar in magnitude to the early-90s downturn and 2008 crisis. But a couple of interesting things stand out. First, those other two major corrections in the commercial real estate market sowed the seeds for decadal booms (a possibility that is completely out of mind for most investors as sentiment on real estate remains deeply pessimistic). The other point of interest is that the bottom looks to already be in, and prices are stabilizing and ticking up again... While there may still be risks, this is the type of thing investors should pay particular attention to, and is exactly the type of setup I hunt for in my work at Topdown Charts. Bonus Chart: R
Chart: The Big CRE Reset
TOPInvesting Leon: The key question is whether this marks the start of a broad CRE recovery or a highly uneven, sector-specific rebound. Lower valuations and underweight positioning create a compelling setup for REITs, but office fundamentals, refinancing pressure, and higher-for-longer rates remain important risks. The strongest opportunities may therefore be in segments with durable cash flows—such as data centers, logistics, residential, and healthcare—rather than in CRE as a whole.

AI Leaders Keep Winning, but the Chip Rally May Not Be Over Yet

Not all AI trades are telling the same story. $PLTR just delivered another blockbuster quarter, $ORCL continues to reward investors who bought the recent shakeout, while semiconductor stocks are finally bouncing after a sharp correction. The question now isn't whether AI is strong—it's whether chip stocks have actually found a bottom. 1. $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ — Another Quarter, Another Beat $PLTR once again crushed expectations. U.S. commercial revenue surged 150% year over year, highlighting that enterprise AI adoption is still accelerating. The market responded immediately, sending shares up more than 12% after hours. Palantir continues to prove it's one of the strongest execution stories in AI software. 2.

$EOSE, $QQQ & $NVDA - Buying the Dip or Chasing the Breakout?

Markets are entering a pivotal phase where conviction matters more than momentum. Some stocks are offering deep-value opportunities after brutal declines, while others are approaching technical levels that could determine whether the next move is a breakout or another pullback. This week's focus is on $EOSE, $QQQ, and $NVDA—three very different setups, but all approaching key decision points that could shape the remainder of the year. 1. $Eos Energy Enterprises Inc.(EOSE)$ — Sentiment Hits Bottom as Long-Term Value Emerges After losing roughly 80% of its value over the past year, $EOSE has become a classic example of how investor sentiment often reaches its lowest point near deep-discount valuations. Here are five of the stocks I’m looking at

What I’m Watching This Week Earnings season is in full swing. It’s a big earnings week ahead, and I’m sending out the August 2026 stock buys before the market opens tomorrow, so I’m going to keep this short. The Week Ahead This week is when things get really interesting in the market. It’s not just big banks and tech, which have mostly done reporting. This week, we get down to high-growth companies that fit in the Asymmetric Investing wheelhouse. Here are five of the stocks I’m looking at. $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ : The talk of the market in 2025, Palantir has slipped based on valuation concerns alone. Wall Street Is Squeezing Both Sides — Every Bull and Bear That Discloses a Position Gets Crushed After taking down bullish trader Leopold last week, the market opened on Monday with a short squeeze that caught bears off guard. Following Leopold's announcement that he was liquidating his fund, well-known short seller Burry declared on July 30 that he was continuing to short Micron and NVDA — adding to his Micron short at 880 and his SOXX short at 506. Then Monday brought a massive rally, effectively putting the shorts back on the fire. Both bulls and bears got burned, but SPY came out on top again. This aligns with our analysis from last Friday — SPY's rise is a political mandate. $Microsoft(MSFT)$ Where does the funding for SPY's political mandate

Noteworthy Points 1. AMD and SPCX Report Earnings After the Close on 8/4 (Tuesday) Given that both ARM and INTC delivered earnings beats, AMD, as the leading competitor in the same space, is unlikely to post numbers inferior to those two. Furthermore, AMD's post-earnings price movement will likely have a knock-on effect on ARM and INTC (sector-linked co-movement). 2. SPCX: High Growth Potential, But Two Near-Term Wildcards While SPCX possesses extremely high growth potential, two factors warrant attention: On 8/6 (two trading days after earnings), $116 billion in locked-up shares will become eligible for sale — the potential selling pressure should not be overlooked; On 8/3, Elon Musk echoed a follower's view on X that "this is a once-in-a-lifetime buying opportunity" — a bullish sentiment
