Is COIN just leveraged Bitcoin, and what cushions it?

$Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$   The short answer The share price mostly trades like leveraged Bitcoin. Over the last 52 weeks the correlation of weekly returns is 0.82, and COIN's beta to BTC is 1.19 over two years and 1.16 over one year. But the business has a second engine that runs on the Fed, not on crypto: in Q3, $430.6M of $1,215.6M total revenue (35.4%) came from USDC and interest. My read: that is the main cushion, and it is smaller than the "half of revenue is recurring" line suggests, because part of subscriptions and services (staking rewards) still moves with crypto prices. 1. The overlay: early at tops, late at bottoms On weekly closes indexed to COIN's listing week, COIN topped on 18 Jul 2025 and BTC on 3 Oct 2025, so COIN
Is COIN just leveraged Bitcoin, and what cushions it?
TOPQueenLT: On weekly closes indexed to COIN's listing week, COIN topped on 18 Jul 2025 and BTC on 3 Oct 2025, so COIN led by about 11 weeks. In the last bear market BTC bottomed on 25 Nov 2022 and COIN on 6 Jan 2023, about 6 weeks later. The 2026 lows so far fit the same shape: BTC 26 Jun, COIN 31 Jul, about 5 weeks later. Limits: COIN has only one full cycle, so this is n=1, and neither 2026 low may be the real bottom. This is a pattern, not a forecast.

I prefer SOXX or SOXQ for broader semiconductor exposure rather than betting everything on DRAM. AI growth is exciting, but I believe cash flow is becoming increasingly important. Companies must prove that massive AI infrastructure spending can translate into sustainable revenue, operating margins and free cash flow. 1️⃣ Why am I making this trade now? AI demand remains strong, but valuations and interest-rate risks deserve attention. 2️⃣ What’s my plan from here? I would DCA into semiconductor ETFs and monitor earnings, cloud spending and free cash flow. If AI capital expenditure rises but revenue growth slows, I would reconsider my bullish outlook.

Micron Fell Below $900. I Think the Market Is Selling the Wrong Question.

$Micron Technology(MU)$   Micron has fallen from almost $1,000 to around $896 pre-market. Again. And I can already feel the frustration among MU investors. SK Hynix posts extraordinary numbers. Memory remains scarce. AI data-centre demand remains enormous. SanDisk reports explosive datacentre growth. Micron itself is producing extraordinary margins. Yet MU falls. So naturally investors are asking: WHAT IS WRONG WITH MICRON? My answer? Less than the stock price suggests. But something HAS changed. Wall Street has moved one level higher in the AI supply chain. The question is no longer: “Is memory demand strong?” We already know it is. The new question is: “CAN THE COMPANIES BUYING ALL THIS MEMORY KEEP SPENDING?” An
Micron Fell Below $900. I Think the Market Is Selling the Wrong Question.
TOPKelvin 梁: Conclusion: only partially. Micron Technology (MU) watchlist ’s October 30 pre-market decline was confirmed by same-day institutional-sized selling , but neither the broader flow trend nor options positioning shows a clean, pre-existing bearish consensus. Price action: MU traded at $886.01 at 09:29 EDT , down 5.17% from the prior $934.27 close, before opening at $883.04. The decline occurred with a broader semiconductor/memory selloff following weak sector sentiment and concerns around AI-infrastructure returns—not an isolated Micron-specific signal. Tiger News Tiger News Fund flows: bearish confirmation for the session. Net flow was -$51.46 million on October 30, led by -$39.76 million in large-order flow and -$15.16 million in medium-order flow . That indicates bigger participants were net sellers into the drop rather than absorbing it.However, the preceding five sessions’ large-order flow was still a cumulative +$80.48 million , so the day’s selling looks more like a sharp risk-o

I see the recent tech selloff as an opportunity to start screening quality companies, but I do not think we can call it a confirmed bottom yet. I remain positive on the long-term AI story, especially companies with strong competitive advantages and sustainable earnings. My focus is on individual stocks rather than buying the entire $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ basket blindly. I want to see whether revenue growth can translate into stronger free cash flow, while keeping an eye on valuation, capital expenditure and debt. A lower share price does not automatically mean a stock is cheap. I prefer to accumulate gradually on meaningful pullbacks rather than rush in with a lump sum. I am watching $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ ,

Global Tech Plunges. Is today going to be a Blackiest Friday? After the spectacular AI related collapse yesterday, everyone is waiting for the market open with baited breath. As it is, at overnight and pre-market trading, things does not look encouraging.  What is on people's mind now is if what Elon Musk predicted about most AI companies dying like guppies will come true. Is this the start of the repeat of 2000? The AI version of the Dot.com bust?

Livestream Highlights: Semiconductors Echo the Dot-Com Buibble, Trade the Post-Midterm Low
TOPLanceljx: I find the semiconductor divergence more interesting than the outright bearish thesis. Rising memory spot prices alongside falling semiconductor equities could mean the market is anticipating a cyclical slowdown, but equities may also simply be repricing after very high expectations. The Russell 2000 thesis looks more compelling to me if Treasury yields continue falling. Smaller companies are generally more rate-sensitive, so sustained lower yields could broaden the rally beyond mega-cap tech. For gold, I would be cautious about chasing either direction. Heavy CTA shorts plus strong upside convexity create the ingredients for a sharp short-covering rally, even if another test toward US$3,850 remains possible. Overall, I would watch three confirmations: semiconductor earnings revisions, the 10-year Treasury yield and whether gold can turn heavy short positioning into an actual price reversal. Positioning alone is not a catalyst.

5 Stocks on My Radar After the Selloff: $RDDT, $NOW, $INTC and More

The market is punishing earnings disappointments and uncertainty around AI spending. Several high-profile stocks have suffered sharp declines, but I'm not rushing to sell. Here's my latest watchlist 👇 🚨 1. $Reddit(RDDT)$ — Down 15%, But Sitting on Major Support $RDDT plunged roughly 15% after hours following weaker-than-expected earnings. Investors are panicking, but the stock is approaching one of its strongest long-term support zones. The last time it tested this area, $RDDT rallied more than 125% over the following year. History doesn't guarantee a repeat, but this is a level I'm paying close attention to. 📉 2. $Servi

SK Hynix: A Record Quarter, a 13% Stock Surge

SK Hynix reported quarterly revenue of 104.6 trillion won and operating profit of 83.3 trillion won, with an operating margin approaching 80%. Yet net income plunged 58%. Despite the sharp decline in net income, the company’s U.S.-listed shares surged 13.3% on Oct. 28, while its South Korean shares rose 10.89%. The rally extended across the semiconductor sector, lifting Samsung Electronics 9.01%, Micron Technology 5.86% and SanDisk 7.66%. The market’s reaction reflected confidence in SK Hynix’s underlying operating performance rather than its headline net income. Strong shipment guidance, rising memory prices and progress in high-bandwidth memory (HBM) reinforced the company’s position in the AI supply chain. But the results also raise broader questions. INTC Technical Signal Alert — 30 October 2026

$INTC  High-significance bearish gap risk Catalyst: Q3 earnings and weaker-than-expected Q4 guidance, released 29 October US time. Intel fell sharply after hours following its earnings release. Big Tech Earnings Weren’t Enough: What Could Restart the Semiconductor Rally?

Semiconductor stocks have not responded to Big Tech earnings in the way investors might have expected. Despite continued investment in AI infrastructure, chip stocks remain under pressure, with the iShares Semiconductor ETF still more than 20% below its record high. The latest earnings have highlighted an important distinction: strong AI spending does not automatically mean every semiconductor company will benefit equally. Microsoft and Alphabet have both demonstrated significant demand for cloud and AI services, but their results also raise questions about the scale of investment required and how quickly that spending can generate returns. For chipmakers, the market needs more than announcements of larger AI budgets. It wants evidence that those budgets are becoming orders, shipments and

Stock Pair of the Day: TSMC vs Micron – Which Semiconductor Stock Has More Upside?

Big Tech earnings have failed to give semiconductor stocks the boost many investors expected. Despite continued AI investment, chip shares remain under pressure as the market questions whether current spending levels can translate into sustainable earnings growth. Two companies worth watching are Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) and Micron Technology (MU). Both have delivered strong results, but their businesses offer different ways to participate in the AI boom. 1. TSMC (TSM): The Manufacturing Backbone TSMC is one of the most important companies in the global semiconductor industry. It manufactures advanced chips designed by companies such as Nvidia and AMD. Its latest third-quarter results showed revenue growth of 41.2% year over year, while earnings per ADR increased 57.5%. Str

Crocs Jumped 25%. I Don't Think This Is a Consumer Recovery Trade.

Tech was getting hammered. Amazon fell. Intel collapsed. AI names were under pressure. And then a shoe company suddenly exploded almost 25% higher. Crocs. The easy conclusion is: “Money is rotating from tech into consumer stocks.” I don't think that is what happened. In fact, Crocs management gave us an important warning: The low-end consumer is still weak. So why did CROX explode? Because I think the market is beginning to reward something very different: SELF-HELP. Crocs did not need the economy to suddenly become wonderful. It fixed the part of its own business investors had almost given up on. And that creates a much more interesting investment lesson than simply: Consumer stocks are back. 🔵 THE HEADLINE NUMBERS WERE GOOD Crocs delivered Q3 revenue of: $1.04B, +4.6% Adjusted EPS: $3.69

Alphabet Lost $500B. I Think Wall Street May Be Measuring the Wrong Cash Burn.

Alphabet just suffered its worst one-day percentage decline ever. Roughly 12.6% gone. About $500B of market value erased. And the contradiction inside the earnings report was extraordinary. Google Cloud revenue: +103% to $30.7B. Cloud backlog: $561B Yet Alphabet's free cash flow: NEGATIVE $9.1B. How can a company double its fastest-growing major business and simultaneously start burning cash? The obvious answer is: Alphabet is spending too much on AI. That is partly true. But I think it misses something much more interesting. Google is quietly changing what kind of company it is. And one clue buried inside the quarter explains why its cash-flow profile may never look exactly like old Google again. That clue is: TPU SYSTEMS. 🔵 OLD GOOGLE HAD A BEAUTIFUL BUSINESS MODEL For years, Alphabet's
